Yay, new pics and a blog. It's a miracle.

Yes it's true. I'm finally getting around to posting something! It's a miracle. I got a new camera and have been trying it out. There are still a few things I need to work out, but for the most part it's really nice. I have some cute pictures from the beach, but they are on the other camera and I haven't downloaded those pics yet. So here's some ones from just goofing around at home.

This really shows me the true potentinal of the camera. Not such a cute pic of Elise, but the quality is really good.

Blowing bubbles with our bubble gun. Way better than blowing them with your own air. She and Erik were having a good old time.

This is where the red eye reduction button is driving me bonkers. More than half the pictures have turned out with closed and squinty eyes. I'm on a mission to find out how to turn the darn thing off! Our little one tooth wonder! Yes, 14 months old and still only 1 tooth!

Absolutely love this pic. She loves to hang out on the couch looking at the window, but she never rests her head on the back so I was lucky to get such a great shot. See... that camera is paying off already.

Well now that I'm getting more practice with it hopefully there will be some updates more regularly.

A single month

I really have had things happen this month. I just didn't get around to posting them. I have some cute pictures of Elise eating lasagna and getting it EVERYWHERE! I'll have to take some time this weekend and finally download my pics. Yay, 2 more minutes left at work. I feel like this is a facebook entry. Short and sweet.

Baking Bread

I'm totally lost when it comes to yeast breads, but I just found a website dedicated to bread making. It's www.breadnet.net. I think I'm going to try my hand at making bread again. The first time was a total disaster. I'm not so sure about the yeast and how it works (guess I should have paid more attention in chemistry class). I would love to try a new recipe out every weekend, but I'd better not set myself up for failure. I'll just take a look at the list and see what sounds good. I always have my bread machine as a back up :) Wish me luck!

Recipe Request

At work we have a monthly meeting with breakfast type foods. This next month is my turn and I'm tired of the same old bagels and fruit. I want to make a great casserole. So I'm putting it out there for each of you to send me your best recipes for a great breakfast casserole.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you! I have no idea who this guy is but he loooked pretty festive so I thought I'd use him as my way of wish you a very happy day!

It's finally over (well mostly)

I'm so proud of myself. I just finished paying off all of the debt we owe (well besides student loans). I can't believe it has taken me 10 years to pay it all, but it's done. Now all we have to do is start saving, saving, saving!! I will never get into credit card debt again. We don't have any car payments, no credit cards, only those student loans (and mine should be paid off by the end of next year, Jared's on the other hand will be around for a very long time). Now if only we had money for a down payment on a house. Guess we'll just have to start plugging away doing that. Yay for me :)

Blogging for a year

It was about this time last year that I started my blog. I remember because I added pictures from the Rose Parade and I have a few more this year too. It was a cloudy day but the flowers looked spectacular. There are some more pics of Erik on his way to D.C. and of course of Elise. Enjoy and don't forget to stop and smell the roses!! :)
